Honey-nut granola is a power pack of food. It is great as a high energy top up for adventurers and athletes – or hungry teenagers!(from the It is loaded with nuts – almonds (whole and slivered), hazelnuts, walnuts, coconut – along with whole oats, buckwheat, sunflower seeds and pumpkin seeds, It is low in sugar organic honey we bake it with) and is very slow digesting.
Our original name for this product is whole-oat granola but we added more nuts and some organic honey to the recipe a while ago so it is time for a name change.
The word ‘granola’ is used in different ways in different countries, at mumma bear, we use granola to mean a very rich mix of goodies that can be used as a snack or a topping, and also makes a very substantial breakfast.
Our honey-nut granola has an exceptionally balanced nutrition profile, with good amounts of plant protein, healthy oils, slow digesting carbohydrates, and fibre.
