These organic Canterbury grown oats are split into half grains so they look a bit like rice. They make an absolutely delicious plain porridge that is slow digesting, rich in texture and very satisfying. Our organic steel cut oats are Rose’s favourite for a warm winter breakfast
We recommend soaking overnight or for at least an hour before cooking. They are not heat treated so is best to store them in a cool place away from sunlight.
Nutrition: They are oats, and oats are a super food rich in plant protein, slow digesting carbohydrates, and fibre (including beta-glucan, which has been shown to help reduce cholesterol). They also have good quantities of plant proteins.
